BAFTA on Tuesday disclosed statistics for the performance of various distributors/studios.
New and well-established creative names alike featured in Tuesday’s 2026 BAFTA Film Awards nominations. Paul Thomas Anderson’s political thriller One Battle After Another earned 14 nods, followed by Ryan Coogler’s vampire film Sinners with 13.
Among the big names getting listed in the acting categories are the likes of Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), and Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another).
But a corporate name that has been in the news because of the M&A battle surrounding it topped the list of most-nominated studios/distributors, provided by BAFTA on Tuesday: Warner Bros. Discovery, which earned a total of 27 noms, courtesy of the two top-nominated movies for the British honors.
Next to giants, smaller players also feature on the list of companies whose movies are in BAFTA contention.
